We, Mahmud Fahim Rahman Santo & Safrid Ahmed, began our journey as school friends. As youngsters we always shared a passion for travel and to explore new wonders and cultures around the world. Shortly after A-levels, the two young men immediately alloted 3-4 years to work on their higher education, equal in vigor, to attune to the intricacies of the world. Santo found his footing in London, spending his years honing his skills as a Biochemist. Safrid followed his calling in Dhaka and furthered his already immense depth in the knowledge of Business. Within this time, we travelled to more than 10 countries, from the West to the East. In our travels, we came across businesses abroad that wanted to GO GREEN and integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies into their practices. It was evident that they wanted to replace the use of PLASTIC bags into materials that were more sustainable. It made us contemplate, perhaps the solution was right under our nose.
Then it CLICKED! We asked ourselves, why aren't we seeing Jute in the packaging industry? There is a growing demand for jute bags in western countries since its eco-friendly and are preferred by eco-conscious customers but still why don't we see enough jute bags in the stores? Is it because of accessibility? cost? Then we tried to come up with the solution and the first thing that came in our minds: We already live in a country well known for producing the best Jute in the region world and which already has a solution to this massive problem.

Jute Weavers was born as a necessity to connect Bangladeshi Jute producers to the rest of the world. We are networked with Bangladesh-based manufacturers and exporters of premium jute products.

Bangladesh is the leading producer of Jute. It is unfortunate that the industry has not entirely grasped it's full potential. Our months of research has taken us to the grassroots of the industry, where we have seen first hand the gaps in understanding the demand of Jute to the rest of the world. This propelled us to bridge the gap between the foreign buyers and the local producers- ensuring proper communication; a field where our formal education abroad helps. We aim for meeting accurate specifications, consistent quality, and quick delivery.

We manage the entire process: sourcing the right manufacturer, coordinating production, overseeing quality control, and handling export logistics. This approach already already paid huge dividends in the domestic market, as we were successful in meeting the requirements of local firms that require solutions which can be catered by Jute.
